Matt Watson

Matthew Watson is a software engineer and one of the main maintainers of the deep learning library Keras, specializing in natural language processing (NLP) tools. Since 2020, he has been a developer and maintainer of Keras in the TensorFlow/Google team, making significant contributions to the release of Keras 3 with support for multiple backend frameworks (TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch). Watson serves as the lead developer of the KerasNLP library, a new NLP subsystem in the Keras ecosystem, which he has been overseeing since its inception.
