Vocabulary is one of the four scored criteria in IELTS Writing and Speaking, and this course is built entirely around sharpening that one skill, mainly for the Academic test but just as useful for General Training Task 2.
Nine units, one skill each
- Swapping basic words for stronger alternatives
- Using more sophisticated language naturally
- Avoiding repetition in your answers
- Telling apart commonly confused words
- Using collocations and linking words correctly
- Comment adverbs and organisational nouns that structure an argument
- Spelling accuracy
Across 25 lessons and more than ten hours of material, the aim is a broader vocabulary you can call on throughout the whole exam, not just the writing section. It's aimed at candidates targeting band 6.0 or above, and no prior preparation is required.
