In 2011, Andrew Lee and James Tamplin founded Firebase and launched the cloud service in April 2012. The main focus of Firebase is a cloud-based NoSQL database for real-time applications, which provides an API that allows developers to store and synchronize data between multiple clients. In October 2014, the company was acquired by Google.
