I embarked on writing this book to provide the guidance I wished I'd had early in my career. As the industry evolves, merely coding is no longer enough. The shift to remote work and an oversaturated job market requires you to craft your unique approach to stand out and become vital to any organization.

A Personal Journey

Reflecting on my early days as a junior developer, I frequently searched for ways to enhance my skills and transition to a senior engineer role. However, the existing resources fell short of my needs, prompting me to carve my own path to success. Now, with a career that sped from junior to senior engineer in just a year and a half, I share the strategies and knowledge that accelerated my growth across various roles, including frontend, blockchain, full-stack, and iOS development.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer. I started coding at the age of 12 and started my career at Ticketfly after college. I was the first Junior Engineer that the company ever hired, and I became a Senior Engineer in less than 2 years. I helped create various applications in both iOS and multiple front-end projects. I also worked to improve onboarding experiences, interviewed and recruited candidates, and created style guides for the company. I’ve also worked at companies such as Eventbrite and Pandora. I’ve created several programs in the companies I’ve worked at including a mentorship group that paired senior and junior engineers in a structured way to advance both careers. I’m a published O’Reilly author and speaker.
