Hello everyone! Welcome to the course "Developing a 3D Browser Game with AI and Cursor". I'm glad to see you here! First, I want to tell you why we created this course and why now is a great time to start.

Why Choose Game Development?

Everyone loves games, and the dream of creating your own game lives in many people. But, as with app development, creating a full-fledged game requires a combination of different skills. Some excel in creativity - creating ideas and concept art, while others easily handle coding. For solo developers, this becomes a challenging task: the absence of one skill often prevents completing the project.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Game Development

This is where artificial intelligence comes to the rescue. With its help, game development has become more accessible than ever: AI can generate 3D models, assist with physics, and simplify complex coding. Nonetheless, it's important to have basic knowledge in every area. AI will not do all the work for you, and as the project grows, you will encounter new challenges. One of the goals of this course is to help you build a solid foundation.

Embracing Vibe Coding

Another reason is the concept of "vibe coding," popularized by Andrey Karpathy. This is an approach to development where you build applications quickly and easily using LLM models, without fixating on perfection from the first steps. The main focus is on iterative creation: build, test, and improve. This approach has inspired thousands of people to experiment with their own projects, and now it's your turn.

Enhancing Programming Skills Through Game Development

I sincerely believe that creating games greatly enhances programming skills. I started with RPG Maker 2000 just for fun, and over time this experience led me to a career in software development. Even today, when learning a new language or tool, I first try to create a small game - it makes learning exciting.

Course Benefits

This course doesn't promise an instant transformation into a pro (although anything is possible!), but it will definitely help you start, experiment, and enjoy combining AI and game development. Whether it's your first step towards a career or just a weekend project with friends, you will gain valuable skills.

What You'll Learn

In this course, we'll cover the basics of developing browser-based 3D games. It's specifically designed for beginners and provides a powerful foundation. We will also get acquainted with tools like Midjourney for generating images, Fala AI for creating 3D models, and Cursor for assembling the game. You will see how I build projects from the inside and what approaches I use.

Our Learning Journey

Our plan is to use AI, follow the spirit of vibe coding, while maintaining a structured and sustainable approach, to create a simple yet complete 3D browser game together. I'm glad you're here and can't wait to see what you will create!

Additional

  • The course is still in development. The author is actively working on it, and new lessons will be added as they are completed.
  • Курс ещё находится в разработке. Автор активно работает над ним, и новые уроки будут добавляться по мере их готовности.

Kevin Kern publishes the Instructa.ai teaching brand — focused on the AI-assisted coding workflow and the modern AI-tooling stack (Cursor, Claude, Bolt.new, MCP) for working software engineers.

His CourseFlix listing carries three Instructa.ai courses: Learn to Build Web Apps with Bolt.new and AI, Learn How to Use MCP (Model Context Protocol), and 3D Browser Game Development with AI and Cursor. Together the courses cover the modern AI-coding toolchain from the browser-based AI-IDE side through to the protocol-level work of integrating MCP servers into engineering workflows.

Material is paid and aimed at developers ready to make AI-coding tools a deliberate part of their workflow. For broader content, see CourseFlix's AI-Assisted Coding and Model Context Protocol category pages.
